"GRAB-N-GO" STORY TIME BEGINS WEEK OF MARCH 7!
THE LIBRARY IS OPEN FOR SERVICE!
The Smith Center Public Library is open to the public and we just can't mask our excitement -- but we WILL mask our faces. The well-being of our community and staff is always our top priority. While we are not requiring them, we prefer that patrons wear face coverings. If a patron does not have one, we currently have disposable masks thanks to the Smith County Sheriff’s Department.

HEALTH AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
The well-being of our community and staff is always our top priority.
HERE'S WHAT WE'RE DOING:
The library staff will wear masks at all times
Protective barriers have been installed at the circulation desk
Staff will continue frequent hand washing or hand sanitizing
Frequently-touched surfaces will be wiped down with EPA approved disinfectants and hand sanitizers effective on human coronavirus
Materials used in-house will be placed in “quarantine” boxes pending disinfecting
All returned materials will be quarantined for 96 hours before available for circulation
HERE'S WHAT WE NEED OUR PATRONS TO DO
Return all items into outside book drop
Do not enter the library if any member of their household currently has, or recently had, a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or is currently feeling unwell
Wear face coverings if possible in order to enter the library (library will provide disposable masks as long as available through the sheriff’s department)
Use library-provided hand sanitizer when entering building. Extra hand sanitizer will be provided in high service areas
Maintain social distancing around other people not in their party/family
WE’RE WEARING MASKS – WILL YOU WEAR YOURS?
